The World God Only Knows Chapters 3-5: Mio

So WGOK is actually a pretty entertaining manga! It looks like a few chapters are dedicated to the conquest of the day, and chapters 3-5 were dedicated to Mio, the rich girl with a tough outer shell

However, her elite, snotty outside holds a deep secret that can make extracting the lost demon even more difficult.

The armor that makes her the future 40 year old virgin!
After an intense analysis of the situation and her 'type' our kami-sama takes off on a new conquest, with a funny skit where Keima and Elsie practice his confession to Mio (which also hints at a future relationship between Keima and Elsie). Thinking that a direct approach would break Mio's hard exterior, he attempts his first confession: getting punched in the process.
After the unexpected results, Keima and Elsie follow Mio to her house, and find something they didn't expect.

The rich daughter of a big company is actually the poor girl who lost it all after her father died. Her little "rich girl" status was all an act. Keima watches as her personal driver, who only took care of her to honor her father, walks out on her after her selfish behavior. When Keima gets caught, he figures out how he's going to conquer this girl:
  1. The Confession
  2. Their Secret
  3. Act as her new driver
  4. Look past her "horrible girl" act and show her that he can fill whatever hole she has in her heart.
In the end, Keima takes her to a ball meant for the elite of the elite, where she gets approached, insulted, and shunned by the other guests. After witnessing that, Keima makes his final move, telling her that she doesn't need to hold onto this glamorous life in order to remember he father. Finally, she lets her guard down, and the two are able to capture the spirit.
I want a place in your heart!
Just like out of a video game! Keima seems to be a pretty capable bachelor in the real life too. But he never really seems to care about the real world, even after his conquests...and he could care less about the fact that the girls seem to lose their memories after all his hard work.
It looks like potentially great character growth.
