Everybody, we must celebrate...because guess whose back?! Yep, you guessed it! I've just finished watching episode 24 of Death Note, and by god! Light is finally back! He's no longer the compassionate, sincere Light we've started to hate. He's back to being an asshole! Woohoo! We all knew he had some trick up his sleeve, but he played this one better than I expected. The show just keeps getting more and more complicated. So, here's the jist of what happened:
I missed this guy too :) |
- Light gave up the notebooks in order to save Misa
- Misa and Light lost their memory, and their names were (sort of) cleared.
- Then, with Light's help, the investigation team caught the new Kira and Light found the Death Note once again, restoring his memory.
- Since the others have also touched the Death Note and know of shinigami, they find the fake rules at the back of the Death Note. They say that if you destroy the Death Note, anyone who touches it will die. Also, the owner of the Death Note must write someone's name in it, or the owner will die. This cleared up both Light and Misa, freeing them from confinement.
- He then sends Misa to the spot where he burried his own Death Note.
- She touches it, restores her memories, then switches eyes with Ryuk (they switched shinigami) and goes off to find L's true name.
